Water Crisis in UUM...

Started from last semester on 2009, our university UUM had started to had water crisis issue. But that time, there was only one hostel had this problem which is DPP Proton. Without water for few moths was a hard time for students. They make complained to DPP office, but the staff said “its convocation weeks, university need a lot of water for activities. Students just keep quiet and wait patience for the coming of water.
After the one month holiday, when students coming back for the new semester, they found out that DPP Proton still did not have water supply. And continue by DPP MAS, DPP Yayasan Al-Bukhary, and DPP EON from the first week of new semester until now, DPP Proton did not have supplies for 18days, DPP MAS- two weeks, DPP EON and DPP Yayasan Al-Bukhary one weeks plus.
Water is a basical need that we need it to survive. Without water for cleaning, hydration, human will get sickness. Students starts to complain to DPP office and ask for clarify. So what did the staff told us? They said that the water pressure for the tank to DPP is too low. And there was not just an answer. We stared to get other reasons. They said DPP pipe need to be repair, so all the water pipe need to close down for to repair. Within few days, we heard another reason, which they said that the water crisis that UUM having now is because the state of Kedah faults. If it’s state fault, why are there are only few DPP in UUM did not have water supplies, but not all?
Few days ago, MPP and university had discussed this water crisis issue on the meeting. Just been wondering, water crisis had started from last semester, what now only they take action by had meeting? After the meeting they had took some action to solve water crisis problem, which is ask students to use bomba hose water to shower. A bomba hose water? If there is fire coming up, where are we suppose to find more water? Do bomba hose water is clean enough for us to use?
We had called to MPP President Mr Mohd Syafiq Japar to set a date to discuss about the water crisis issue and UNIC bus issue. But he told us that they were busy, and cannot have a meeting with us. We had waited for a few days, but there is still no response from MPP or university side. Normal human need water for basical needs, we cannot stand any longer for life without water. By here, we stand as Students Progressive Front here to inform that we will do something and spread this issue to create awareness not only in UUM but others too. Spread through media??

  1. We are a solution company that has been able to solve the uneven distribution of water in large buildings; our clienteles are mainly large hotels.
We have been able to find some 30% of water for the large building by making their building efficient. In one of our project at UM, we have successfully show to the UM management that we have found more than 25% of water for the campus.

Please let me know who we should approach in this matter.
